PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Foreign Trade Department, established under Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Ezine Vocational School, conducts educational, teaching, and research activities in the field of social sciences within a single program: The Foreign Trade Program aims to provide education for students with the title of associate degree in the public and private sectors and offers theoretical and practical education in the fields of foreign trade and customs. Those who wish to continue their undergraduate education and meet the necessary requirements can benefit from this opportunity through the Vertical Transfer Exam. The Foreign Trade Program, affiliated with our Vocational School, was first opened in the 2014-2015 academic year for daytime education. The program has a capacity of 41 students, and the language of instruction is Turkish.

The mission of the Foreign Trade Department is to enable students to understand the dynamics of global trade, equip them with the knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of international trade, and provide them with the opportunity to build a successful career in the field of foreign trade. Additionally, the department aims to contribute to increasing the country's foreign trade volume by training professionals who operate competitively and ethically in the field of foreign trade.

The vision of the Foreign Trade Department is to become a nationally and internationally recognized leading educational center in the field of foreign trade. The department strives to prepare its students excellently for the world of foreign trade by providing them with the latest industry trends and global economic developments. Moreover, it aims to promote significant change and development in the sector by focusing on sustainability and ethical values in foreign trade.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Ezine Vocational School Foreign Trade Department aims to provide a contemporary foreign trade education in parallel with the scientific, academic, and cultural goals developing in units affiliated with our university. It aims to contribute to managing the existing or potential production capacities of businesses in line with our country's foreign trade goals in the intense competitive environment brought about by globalization and to close the personnel gap with knowledge and skill level in foreign trade of businesses.

In the professional field, it aims to raise professionals who can use the professional terminology required by today's conditions, use the international professional language well, establish connections between the basic goals and functions of businesses and the external environment, follow national and international changes, determine business positions according to these changes, recognize and organize the documents used in foreign trade transactions, be knowledgeable about the foreign exchange regime, payment methods used in foreign trade, be familiar with the foreign trade legislation and changes in the legislation, and have knowledge about financing, accounting, and taxation in foreign trade transactions, carry out logistics and operational transactions, and be competent in written and oral communication.
